Project Highlights

Removal and Replacement of Existing Aggregate Surfaced BUR roofs down to the deck. Both buildings occupied continuously by clients during contractor’s work. New roof systems were Modified Bitumen.


Atlanta Federal Center’s Historic Building and Midrise Building

Project Highlights

The Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center is a sprawling office complex located in the very center of downtown Atlanta, Georgia and consists of the nearly 100 year old historic former Rich’s Department Store Bldg. as well as new Mid-rise and High-rise office additions. The project’s scope included the structural investigation and analysis of the Rich’s bldg. existing roof framing system, as well as the Mid-rise framing, to determine if they would accept the weight of a new vegetated green roof. After determining that they would safely support the new loads, design plans and specifications were prepared and construction administration accomplished for the 47,000 square foot, $1.7 million dollar project.


Morris Gymnasium

Project Highlights

Project involved the installation of a new Standing Seam Metal Roof and new Modified Bitumen Roof system on an existing college gymnasium. Total roof area was approximately 9,322 ft and total project cost was $212,417.00.

Removal of multiple roof systems down to the existing deck. All buildings occupied continuously during contractor’s work. New roof system was TPO membrane over new rigid insulation.


Wal-Raven Building

Installation of a new Standing Seam Metal retrofit roof on an existing classroom building. Area of roofing was approximately 64,450 ft2. Total cost of the project was $700,000.00.


Re-roof 3 Buildings

Project Highlights

Project involved the installation of a new TPO single ply membrane over existing EPDM roofing. Buildings re-roofed were Lambdin, Smith, and Russell Halls. Total cost of the project was $218,774.50.


Arnall Building

Project Highlights

Removal of existing smooth surface built-up roofing on low slope roof areas and clay tile on steep slope roof areas. New roof systems included three tab asphalt shingles on steep slope areas and modified bitumen on low slope roof areas. Total roof area was approximately 20,000 ft2. Construction Cost of Project was $188,400.00.


Peachtree Summit Building

Project Highlights

This project involved the investigation, design, and construction administration of a $250,000.00 vegetated green roof on the GSA’s Peachtree Summit Building located in downtown Atlanta. Covering some 2,500 (combined) square feet of mechanical penthouse and stair tower roofing, these vegetated green roofs required special design procedures to ensure the new growing media stayed in place thirty plus stories above the ground. At the time of their completion, it was believed that these green roofs were the highest in North America.
